Ohhh wow. Footage of Radiohead's performance of "Creep" on the very first Late Night with Conan O'Brien show. This is what's missing from the majority of performers today - total immersion in their music, the complete fucking brilliance of letting go and becoming possessed with the spirit of the song. It's so...genuine, for lack of a better word. It has nothing to do with images, or products, or sales, or money, or sex (though it's certainly sexy seeing Thom Yorke perform with total abandon, fearless and powerful. You can't deny the man is talented, even he isn't to your taste). It's organic and entirely mesmerizing.

That was a great find! Can't believe it's been 15 years. The intensity of Yorke and the guitar player pull you into this song. That kind of intensity is what drew me to Lukas in the beginning on Rock Star. Remember when he shook his glasses off his face during that Killers song? And when he lurched around on stage, I felt my stomach do flip flops. It was that surprise element of what's next, you know? Getting lost in their music and being totally unaware of their surroundings. These are the kinds of musicians I am drawn to, for sure.
